During all 4 years of playing sports in highschool, I
coached at kids camps. I coached both soccer and basketball,
each for a week every summer. As a captain of both the
basketball and soccer teams during my Junior and Senior
years, I played an important role in setting a good example
during these camps and teaching kids individually. This
helped me build my social and teaching skills greatly.
Within my time at home, I have been able to help out my community in any way that I can. I specifically have worked with Broomfield FISH which is a nonprofit organization based in my hometown and works to provide food, emergency financial assistance, and mentoring for those in need in my community. I have served at their food department organizing food for deployment to families. I also served at our local soup kitchen with all of my organizations in highschool as teambuilding service projects.
This year, I have become Vice President of the Texas A&M Men's Club Soccer team. My goal with this role is to organize a summer camp for kids during the summer, coached and financed by our club. Player development at a young age is a vital step in a kid improving as a player. Our staff is prepared to coach a technical camp to help kids improve. My other goal as Vice President is to get our organization involved in The Big Event. The Big Event is a one-day mass student service project where different organizations provide different services to the community of Bryan/College Station. I think that it is important that our organization gives back to this community in any way that we can.
